Child Development Officer, crèche

Hours: 16 hours per week

Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification (Level 3 Qualification is desirable).

Responsible to: Children and Young People’s Services Manager

Salary scale: Point 15-20 SJC scale

Description: An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an inspiring individual, passionate about supporting families and committed to ensuring high quality childcare practice. This Child Development Officer role will work with the Children and Young People’s Services Manager to deliver mobile crèche services and contribute to the development and promotion of our mobile crèche.

Your time will be split between delivering our mobile crèche service and covering in our Early Years, Out of School Care and Indi Youth services, embracing and being fully committed to the Indigo Group values and guiding principles.

Child Development Officer (6-month maternity cover)

Hours: 37.5 per week

Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification (Level 3 Qualification is desirable).

Responsible to: EY Manager and Lead Child Development Officers

Salary scale: Point 15-20 SJC scale

Brief Description: Reporting to the Early Years Manager and Lead Child Development Officers, you will be a flexible, open-minded and reflective individual, with excellent communication skills. Demonstrating reliability and enthusiasm, the Indigo Group Child Development Officers will be well organized, with a positive approach. We aim to recruit team members who are passionate about high quality Early Years practice and share a vision of best practice.

Transport Assistant, Out of School Care

Hours: Average 10 hours per week, term time, approx. 2 hours per day, usually (but not prescriptively) 2.30pm–4.30pm

Salary scale: £8.45 per hour

Brief Description: You will be assisting childcare staff in transporting children and young people from various school locations to our services located in the Castlemilk area. You will provide support to staff to ensure that children/young people are transported safely.

Childcare Sessional / Bank Staff

Hours: Casual, as and when required [often short notice for staff absence]

Salary scale: £8.45 per hour

Brief Description: Sessional Childcare Workers assist the childcare team to ensure the smooth running of services. Demonstrating flexibility and enthusiasm Indigo Group Sessional/Bank Staff will provide childcare in our Early Years, Out of School Care & Mobile Crèche facility to cover for staff absence/illness/annual leave/training and fluctuating demand. These posts are suitable for staff studying childcare or already in work and wishing to supplement their existing income, or to gain additional childcare knowledge and experience.

Interviews will be held: Usually held in rounds approximately every 6-8 weeks
